- Users can have the service with their HiNet account. The access fee is NTD 1 per minute. There are two ways to have a HiNet account: the HiNet Prepaid Card and postpaid HiNet ISP account (including dial-up and ADSL account).

- Web-based authentication.
- For the first time using the HiNet Prepaid Card, the conferees have to go to http://e-pay.hinet.net to enable the accounts.
- When the prepaid points are running out, please purchase new HiNet Prepaid Cards at the website http://e-pay.hinet.net. If you want the account to be the same as the previous one, please follow the instructions on the website to replenish the points.

- Make sure the WLAN card is installed and setup successfully.
- Power notebook / PDA on.
- Open the browser and key-in any address (never keep the address blank) and then you can see the HiNet WLAN homepage.
- Click "Start" on the HiNet WLAN homepage to begin the WLAN service.
- For the first time using the HiNet Prepaid Card, please go to http://e-pay.hinet.net to enable the account. If it's done, please click "next.".
- Enter you HiNet account (ID and password) in the authentication page.
- After authenticated successfully, you are on-line and begin to be charged. Then you can see the HiNet website while another logout window is also pop-up.

- Computers can't access the wireless Access Point (AP), possibly because:
- The WLAN card is not installed successfully.
- Computers are out of the wireless signal coverage.Please move into the coverage area.
- WLAN card setting error: ESSID set to "hinet" (Notice:"hinet"should be lower case words.)
